Sydney University Surgical Society is proud to host Cardiothoracic Surgical Grand Rounds.
Dr Michael Byrom, a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at RPAH, will deliver the grand rounds, which will feature cases in cardiothoracic surgery with associated imaging and management. Dr Byrom’s clinical practice focuses on areas of cardiothoracic surgery such as minimally invasive aortic valve replacement, aortic surgery, mitral valve repair and all-arterial coronary bypass surgery. Dr Byrom has a passion for laboratory research and recently completed a PhD at the University of Sydney on the development of a novel bioengineered vascular bypass conduit.
The event will be of particular relevance to Stage 1 students who will be in the midst of their Cardiology Block; however, students from all stages and clinical schools are welcome.
