Sydney University Surgical Society (SUSS) and MIRAGE Rural Health Club are delighted to present Rural Surgery: Resources, Challenges, Training Options.

Dr Henry Hook and Dr Chelsea Beinke will be sharing their views on what being a rural surgeon entails. The evening’s discussion will also include surgical opportunities available in the rural health system, differences between rural and metropolitan surgical training and the pros and cons of being a rural surgeon.

Dr Henry Hook is the Head of Department of the Surgery in Orange. Dr Chelsea Beinke is a SET trainee who has previously trained rurally and is currently at Westmead Hospital.

If you are a Stage 2 student, keen on surgery and are tossing up between staying metropolitan and going rural next year, then this event is not to be missed!

Students from all stages are welcome.

Pizza will be provided at 5:30, courtesy of MIPS.
