Congratulations to everyone who ran in the City2Surf this weekend. The team has raised over $8,000 for Interplast so far with a little more time to go. We had a great crew with 51 entrants making it all 14km from the city to Bondi. Our top 3 runners totalled a time of 3 hours and 9 seconds, placing SUSS 86th as a team.
The winner of the SUSS City2Surf Shield for the fastest time run in the team scrubs goes to Harry Narroway, coming in at 63:18. Two more notable achievements go to Robbie Stuart for the fastest overall time with 54:33, and fastest girl, Simoné Visagie, with a time of 73:58.
Well done everyone, a fantastic effort. Particularly, a big thanks to Matt Georgiades for organising everyone and getting the fundraising kicking.
Let’s see if we can beat some more records next year!
The SUSS City2Surf team caught up with burns survivor and Interplast Australia & New Zealand Ambassador Turia Pitt at the University of Sydney on the weekend. The 60 team members will run in Interplast scrubs and have already raised $6100 for Interplast.
